Indigo Road was formed by Mark Peter Herbert in April 2008. He has been recording with Belle since early 2009. He is the writer, producer, Belle provides the fabulous vocals.
Belle Erskine is one of this country's great undiscovered vocal talents although she is well known among the congniscenti on the London music scene. She has shared a stage and recording studio with the likes of Groove Armada, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston and is a regular at Ronnie Scott's.
In addition to Belle, Mark has assembled a whole host of musicians to record the band's debut album, including Richard Erskine on guitar/bass, Steve Turner (Kylie's sometime keyboard player) and Matt Berry on drums. Mark also plays bass and guitar. Other musicians involved to date include Katie Stephens (drums), Danny Hook (guitar), Chris Berry (guitar), Brian Sullivan (bass), Ian Richards (sax) and Ru Kodikara (drums).
In the first incarnation of Indigo Road, Mark worked with Heidi Jo Hines, the highly talented vocalist and daughter of ex-Wings man Denny Laine, hence Denny's quote on this site.
